See this? I’m updating!

Two weekends ago we went to the Rosewood Crawfish Festival and had an absolute blast. Brenna and Parker painted plates that were given away to Nannie on Mother’s Day, Brenna got to ride some rides and get her face painted, and Parker had a sno-cone and run around like a big girl. There was good food, decent beer at expensive prices, and 3 stages of music, plus rides! Basically everything a festival could be.

The next day was mother’s day and we all had a good time at my sister’s house hanging out with family. Unfortunately I neglected to take any photos of this event, other than one of the girls when they crawled into Zoe’s cage. But DSS would probably come knocking if I posted another “babies in cage” photo, so just take my word that it was funny, and the children thought they were very silly.

This past weekend Brenna and Parker went to a birthday party for our across-the-street neighbor Audrey. She’s the one watching fireworks with them from my last update. She is now 4 years old, and a very big girl! Brenna and Parker had so much fun and were so keyed up, they missed their naps that day entirely, causing no end of trouble for Megan who was at home watching them while I was out for a previously-scheduled event.

And finally we all traveled to Augusta on Sunday to meet up with some acquaintances and strangers for a cookout. Meg and I play a game created by Google called Ingress that I can briefly describe as “world-wide capture the flag.” We met several people on our team that we’ve only had passing contact with out of Georgia. The kids had lots of fun and the turkey burgers were SLAMMIN’!

Parker just had her 18-month check up, and she’s doing very well. Meg is sitting beside me working on colors and shapes (green car! red apple!) as we speak. Oh, also Brenna randomly recited all 12 months in the correct order yesterday on the way back from Augusta… so yeah. She can do that now!

See you next time.

Good update. Yall are awsome parents–giving your children exposure to many things. Plus they are brilliant!

That’s very kind – thank you. They are pretty smart, aren’t they?
